Joey Sandler, Inc. d/b/a Lateral Lock ("we," "us," or "our") is a legal recruiting firm. We recruit and place attorneys with law firms nationwide. We collect and use personal information from attorneys who are candidates for placement ("Candidates") and representatives of law firms who are seeking to hire ("Clients"). This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Information We Collect

From Candidates

• Name, contact information (email, phone), and current employer
• Practice area, seniority level, and professional credentials
• Resume or CV, deal sheets, and other materials you provide
• Compensation information, when relevant to a search
• Information about your career goals and preferences
• Communications with us (emails, call notes, meeting records)

From Clients

• Name, title, firm name, and contact information
• Information about the role you're seeking to fill
• Firm details relevant to candidate placement (practice areas, culture, compensation structure)
• Communications with us regarding searches and candidates

Website technical data

This website does not run analytics, advertising pixels, or similar tracking tools, and we do not use cookies to measure or profile public visitors.

• Our hosting provider may keep standard server logs (such as IP address, browser user agent, and requested URL) for security, reliability, and abuse prevention. We do not use those logs to build marketing profiles.
• If you submit a contact or authorization form, we receive the information you enter. Contact forms are delivered through a third-party form service.

• To communicate with you about our services
• To comply with legal obligations

Confidentiality & Authorization

We understand that lateral moves are sensitive. Providing your resume or other materials does not authorize us to submit you to any firm.

• Nothing goes to a firm without your written authorization, firm by firm, or within limits you set in writing.
• We do not share Client search details with parties outside the engagement.

Information Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We may share information in the following limited circumstances:

• With Candidates or Clients involved in an active search: only the information necessary to facilitate the placement, and only with the appropriate party's consent
• With service providers who help us operate (e.g., website hosting, form delivery, email delivery), under contractual obligations to protect your data
• When required by law or to protect our legal rights

Data Retention

We retain Candidate and Client information for as long as the relationship is active and for a reasonable period thereafter to support future placements and market intelligence. You may request that we delete your information at any time (see "Your Rights" below), subject to our legal and professional obligations.

Cookies

Public pages do not use analytics or advertising cookies. A small essential cookie may be used on password-protected pages to keep a signed-in session. You can control cookies in your browser; blocking them does not affect the public site, but may require signing in again on password-protected pages.

Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Delete your information from our records (subject to legal and professional obligations)
